My Hawaiian Crown

She's a Hawaiian Queen

Derived from generations of royalty

Swaying hips to the beat of a drum

Sweet melodies of ukelele

Darkened by clouds

Of traveller's envy

Armies not large enough

To overcome defeat

Dubbed with a new flag

Marked by British and American

Colors and stripes

Not feeling their presence

Destroying our culture

Our nation's been swiped

Not willing to let it hold me down

For I will succeed and wear my

Hawaiian crown

This is my culture, this is my race

I want nothing more than

To go home to that place

Until I get there I must

Take care of mine

And understand that it will

Only be a matter of time.

Hoping for nothing more than

To Let my nation rest

Independant from the US

Shining little islands

In the middle of the sea

My heart longs to go

Where the pride derives in me
