Without Humanity

It seems to me that we are not we
Human race, without humanity
Watching people living in bluff,
Hasn't anyone gotten tired enough?
Tired of the lies, tell the truth, let it be
Tired of living in mediocrity
Wish I was done living in the slums
So I could dance to a fancier drum.
Nowadays, there is a pill
To solve your every whim
Society says if you don't,
You're probably living in sin.
They say there's no way, because
They don't want to sin alone
As though you could call me from
The gates of hell, with a cell phone?
Wishful thinking on your behalf
Protected I am with His divine rod and staff.
I'll be much more comfortable
At home, safe at last.

We are a human race, without humanity
Full of social surprises, lacking dignity.
Not united at all, not one common front
Every man for himself, worried on his wants.
If he don't succeed, he doesn't feel the need
And he won't call you again, until his
Heart starts to bleed.
Take it or leave it, your soul it will cost
You can mourn later about the blessings you lost.
Selfishness rules this world that I see
"I can't talk to you right now, if it doesn't benefit me."
