The Sisterhood of Kanaka Maoli

Her people were her everything in her world
She was wisdom's voice and mother nature's little girl
A mother and friend to many,  but alone on her path
She took no prisoners, she turned hardship into laughter
Since day one, always losing her life
But an airplant of sorts, she continued to thrive
A sister to many, a lover to few
When times were hard, she knew what to do
Gaslighting effects destroyed her beliefs
So she ran from the liars, the paupers of deceit
She ran until she could no longer stand on her feet

Broken down, she cried in despair
Thank God for one sister who really did care
That sister took care and dressed all her wounds
They played and they laughed from sunrise to high moon
They healed and they grew, oh what a sight
Building lo'i and gardens every day and night
Healing the people, masses at a time
Realizing their dreams, saving every dime
Taking no prisoners but setting them free
For this is the sisterhood of Kanaka Maoli
