Used To Be

She used to be beautiful
A once upon a time pretty
Her legs were compared to a pair of
The most glorious redwood trees
With lips described as juicy drops
Body shaped like soda pop
Long black hair, opaque strands of silk
Complected skin of olive milk
No turmoil or worry taper her feminine sway
Strength of confidence named her play

Enough of that talk
Of pictures of old
Diamonds are forever
So we are told
One's beauty within
Will always remain
Despite gravity or age
Regardless of pain
Hard lessons learned
Long ways to go
Beautiful lady, how radiant you glow!

Woman of wisdom
Intentions so pure
Graced in spirit
Deity matured
Your beauty transpired
From turmoil within
Blossoms of glory, seeds
Deeper than skin
When you walk in a room
People stop to stare
For your beauty within
No skin could compare.
